August 2026. A dated page; the about page has the long view.
At work I am the principal engineer behind Faria Education Group's AI platform and its data platform, and the person who gets asked to look at things across the engineering department. Most of my days are architecture, invariants and standards: the constraints within which coding agents can do the rest.
On the bench: this site, freshly rebuilt on Cherry, a static site generator I wrote in Elixir on annual leave; ax, an agent framework for the BEAM that has become the substrate under most of my agentic work; and ASDLC, my attempt to write down how software delivery works when agents are first-class participants.
Writing: a series of retrospectives on nineteen years of work, one era at a time, being reviewed and published through the autumn.
